SB2 Noah Tobin

This artwork was commissioned by Karina S. as a gift for the Tobin family. "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of SOCOM Athlete instructor SB2 Noah Tobin, a 23-year-old Navy SWCC (Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman) with Special Boat Team 20. “On Time, On Target, Never Quit.” Noah had a personality that was larger than life. He loved to smile and laugh while also bringing a special intensity and determination to everything he did. Those who best know Noah will always remember him for his humor. There was never a dull moment around Noah. Noah had just returned from his first deployment when he volunteered as an instructor for SOCOM Athlete’s Virginia Beach Hell Day event; His third round serving as an instructor with SOCOM Athlete Hell Day events in both Destin, FL and Virginia Beach. He made a lasting impression on our students; displaying his passion, intensity, and love for mentoring the next generation of American warfighter. Noah was attending Navy Freefall school in Porterville, CA to become HALO qualified. Although the investigation is still underway, little details have been publicly released regarding the exact cause of Noah’s passing. However, close friends of Noah’s state that he experienced a parachute malfunction on both his main canopy and his reserve canopy. Noah will always be remembered as the SOCOM Athlete community deeply mourns this loss of life. Noah is one of those guys who could never be replaced. He will forever be missed. Don’t hold back from telling your brothers and fellow warriors that you love them and care about them. You just don’t know when the time will come that you will never see them again on this earth. Life is fragile, and special operations is a dangerous business. We love you Noah. We miss you brother. Blue skies, and we’ll see you in heaven one day. “Here I am.
