The Process
My primary focus is oil painting, and I accept commissions for figurative works, portraits, landscapes, and other subjects in this medium. I also accept select commissions in digital painting and graphic design.

Initial Consultation
Our early discussions center on the vision and scope of the project. This process allows me to determine whether I am well suited to the work, and to provide a preliminary estimate.
Developing the Vision
As the project progresses, I develop a vision for the work informed by its intended audience, setting, and purpose. I regard this stage as an opportunity for collaboration — a chance to understand more fully those for whom the piece is created, whether an individual, a family, a church, or an organization. My paintings are not made for my own self-expression; each is created as an act of love for those it is intended to serve.
Once we have arrived at a shared vision through discussion, I will prepare a loose compositional draft to further clarify the direction of the work.
Contract and Payment
Upon finalizing the vision, a contract is signed. Typically, an initial payment is made at signing, with the remaining balance due upon delivery of the completed work.
Completion and Delivery
With the contract in place, I begin work on the painting. Upon completion, the piece is typically delivered in person, allowing me the opportunity to see it installed in its intended setting.
